Collaboration
Understand workspace roles
Compare Owner, Manager, and Member permissions.
Avara has three workspace roles. Permission checks are enforced on the server, not only by hiding controls.
Owner
Owners control membership, workspace-level settings, plan testing controls where available, and destructive account constraints. A workspace owner cannot delete their account while other members remain because ownership transfer is not yet implemented.
Manager
Managers can perform selected workspace-management actions, including supported general settings and member operations. They cannot assume owner-only authority.
Member
Members can work with permitted workspace resources but cannot perform protected workspace administration.
Roles apply to a membership in one workspace. Switching workspaces can therefore change what the same account is allowed to do. Avara currently does not provide ownership transfer or custom roles.
