Use Trash and recovery
Restore deleted resources or remove them permanently during the 30-day window.
Tasks, notes, sketches, and sheets use soft deletion. They stay in Trash for 30 days before automatic permanent removal.
Restore a resource
- Open Trash.
- Review the type, project context, deletion date, and days remaining.
- Select Restore.
Tasks and notes return to their project. Sketches and sheets can restore without a project if their former project no longer exists.
Permanent deletion
Delete permanently removes one resource immediately. Empty trash removes all currently trashed resources in the workspace. Neither action can be undone.
Trashed resources are excluded from regular reads, search, shared views, and calendar feeds. The daily purge runs independently for all workspaces and retries safely if a scheduled run fails.
