Create and manage tasks

Create tasks and manage their title, description, column, priority, labels, dates, and completion.

Tasks are the day-to-day unit of execution in Avara. Each task belongs to a project and one of that project's board columns.

Create a task

  1. Open Tasks and select New, or add a card from a project board.
  2. Enter a title.
  3. Select a project if the page is showing all projects.
  4. Optionally set its column, priority, and due date.
  5. Create the task.

Edit task details

Open a task to change its title, plain-text description, board column, priority, due date, labels, and independent completion state. Completion does not move the task to another column.

Comments and activity appear beside the task. Checklist items are also supported. Attachments and assigning members directly to a task are not currently available.

Delete and recover

Deleting a task moves it to Trash for 30 days. Restore returns it to its project and previous column when possible. If that column no longer exists, Avara uses the project's first column.
