Creating a project

Create a project to group related tasks and notes, and learn what a project contains.

Projects are how you group related work in avara. A project holds its own tasks, its board columns, and its notes.

Create a project

  1. Go to Projects in the sidebar (or use the "Create your first project" step on Home).
  2. Click New.
  3. Give the project a name. You can optionally add a description and pick a color.
  4. Click Create project.

That's it โ€” your new project appears in the grid. Every new project automatically gets three starter board columns: To do, In progress, and Done.

The project overview

Click a project to open its overview, which shows the project's name, description, and quick counts of its tasks and notes. From there you can jump straight into:

  • Tasks filtered to that project
  • Notes filtered to that project

Working across projects

You don't have to open a project to work in it. The Tasks and Notes tools show everything across all your projects by default, and a project filter in the breadcrumb lets you narrow to one project when you want. The choice sticks as you move between tools.

Deleting a project

Deleting a project removes its tasks, columns, and notes too, so use it with care. Open the project overview and choose Delete.
